Whether your items are sensitive, heavy, oversized, or need custom rigging and crating, Atlantic Project Cargo can help ensure they are shipped in crates or on rigs compliant with all international standards.

WHAT IS EXPORT CRATING?

Export crating, also called export packing, is a range of solutions designed to protect goods during international transit. They typically employ materials and systems designed to ensure they are safe from damage, moisture, and rough handling, while also easy to load and unload.

Export rigging is an ancillary service that attaches hardware and mounting points to facilitate the lifting and moving of cargo. Elements such as shackles, links, hooks, and other mounts allow cranes or heavy-lifting machines safely transport rigged cargo.

ISPM 15

ISPM 15 is a regulation established by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) to reduce the spread of pests and diseases through wooden packaging materials used in international trade.
ISPM 15 requires that all wooden packaging materials used for export purposes be treated and marked with a stamp or mark indicating that they have been treated. This treatment can be done through various methods, such as heat treatment or fumigation, to eliminate potential pests or diseases.

HEAT TREATED EXPORT LUMBER

Shippers must comply with international regulations when they use wooden packaging material or are exporting lumber.

According to these regulations, shippers must treat or ensure all wooden packaging materials and export lumber have had specialized treatments to prevent the spread of pests and diseases.
Atlantic Project Cargo offers heat-treated export lumber that has been treated to meet the standards set forth by ISPM 15. Our heat-treated export lumber is dried and sterilized to eliminate any potential pests or diseases, ensuring that your goods are transported safely and in compliance with international regulations.
Our high-quality heat-treated export lumber is available in various sizes and grades to meet your needs.
With our commitment to providing top-quality, environmentally friendly packaging solutions, you can trust us to handle your heat-treated export lumber needs professionally and carefully.
