Sight Draft

A type of bill of exchange, in which the exporter holds the title to the transported goods until they reach their destination and payment is made. Before the shipment can be released to the buyer, the original “to order” ocean bill of lading must be properly endorsed by the buyer and surrendered to the carrier.
